Cheryl Roe

BeadRoe is the zenith of lamp work artist Cheryl K. Roe. A naturalized Kentuckian she and her husband have raised their children near the banks of the Rockcastle River in Laurel County. It is here, surrounded by the lush flora of the Daniel Boone national forest, that Cheryl has discovered her artistic voice.

Perhaps Cheryl’s mother should be credited with igniting Cheryl’s fiery work. Rusty’s west coast fashion sense and spunk inspired a plethora of stunning earrings, bracelets and necklaces. While Cheryl’s jewelry designs are breathtaking and reflect an intuitive sense of style and balance her true passion lies in the creation of the beads themselves. Learning the art of lampwork has taken many hours lingering perilously close to a miniature inferno. Watching the process up close is beyond amazing. Under Cheryl’s adept control, the glass, combined with various techniques of annealing, etching, fritting and pressing culminate into a spectacular array of beads that are treasures on their own.

So when one of these beautiful pieces catches your eye, by all means, indulge yourself. It will be a cherished possession for years to come.
