Meghann (Megh) Marshall
Mehgann (Mehg) Marshall is a pottery artist born in 1984 in Florida and is now living in Stearns, KY. She first developed her love of clay in high school where she cultivated her skills in a concentrated art program. While still in high school, she began showing her work at various museums, galleries and art festivals. She later attended Penland School of Crafts in Bakersville, NC, and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN. In these programs, she gained more hands on development of her craft.
Mehg is currently the owner of Pottery by Mehg, a pottery gallery and gift shop next to the historic Big South Fork Scenic Railway. Her main focus is functional pottery as she believes her work should be used and appreciated in everyday life.
Mehg is a member of Kentucky Proud and McCreary County Chamber of Commerce as well as the Mountain Heritage Artisans Guild. She also participates in various craft fairs in the central Kentucky region.
