Teresa Day of London, KY, learned drawing in school and has never lost the desire to make art. Among her first efforts was a wall mural she painted as a teenager in the Laurel County High School cafeteria.
After school there was a pause for marriage and starting a family. She squeezed in a year of studying art at Eastern Kentucky University. Then in 1994, as a divorced mother, she moved back to Laurel County and opened her business, Art by Day. She has specialized in many types of artistic media, which include but are not limited to: hand painted murals, faux finishing, window painting, decorating children's rooms and much more.
She is constantly learning art forms, uses tutorials on YouTube as a source and currently is passionate about Gelli printing which results in the abstract art. Day also paints on canvas, uses pen and ink and makes jewelry.
